  • Signature Cougar Kickoff Events

Meet the Greeks

Meet the Greeks highlights the Fraternity and Sorority Life community and provides students with the opportunity to learn about the councils and chapters on campus. Students can interact with members, ask questions about recruitment or intake processes, and explore leadership, service, and social opportunities within the Greek community.

Main Campus Picnic

The Main Campus Picnic is one of the largest and most recognized Cougar Kickoff traditions. Hosted on the main campus, the event brings together students, faculty, staff, and organizations for food, music, and entertainment. It serves as a major gathering point early in the semester where students can meet others, learn about campus programs, and engage with departments and student groups in a welcoming environment.

Inter-Faith Fair

The Inter-Faith Fair connects students with faith-based organizations and spiritual communities both on campus and in the surrounding area. Students have the opportunity to learn about different faith traditions, discover support networks, and engage in conversations that promote understanding and community.

Day of Service

Day of Service focuses on civic engagement and community impact. Students participate in volunteer projects throughout the Columbus community, working with local partners and organizations. This event emphasizes leadership, service, and giving back while strengthening the relationship between the university and the local community.
