Program Description

CyberSecurity Track provides the student with skills required to compete in today's computing environment and to be able to adapt to tomorrow. Much effort is expended ensuring that the program is viable and current, focusing on the newer technologies and emphasizing applications of current methods for securing information and systems

Learning Outcomes

Graduates in the BS in CS CyberSecurity Track program will:

• Be able to use an integrated development environment to code and implement an executable program
• Have basic understanding of theoretical aspects of computer science
• Be able to produce a software solution using an object-oriented programming architecture
• Be familiar with standard CPU architectures
• Understand the vulnerabilities and threats to information security and measures to defend against them.
• Be able to analyze, design and implement a solution to real-world scientific or engineering problems.
• Be familiar with methods used to design and access databases.
• Be able to demonstrate knowledge of social and ethical impact of computers.

Student must earn a C or better in all CPSC courses in Areas F, G, and H
