Early Book Program Dates

Spring 2025 Term: November 2, 2024 - January 17, 2025

Early Book Program Availability

The early book program is only available to students who:

  • Early Register
  • Have completed all financial aid requirements
  • Have excess financial aid
  • Have opted in to use the program

To authorize excess financial aid to be used for the Early book Program, please take the following steps:

  • Log in to MyCSU
  • Click on the Students page
  • Under the "Financial Information and Resources" section, click the "Student Authorizations" link
  • If you see "No Status" for "Current Authorization Status" under the Federal Funds Authorization section, authorize "Federal Funds Authorization" and click on the "Submit Authorizations" button at the bottom of the page.
    • If you have a status listed for "Current Authorization Status," you do not need to do anything else.

Notes

  • Depending on the available credit from excess financial aid, you may use up to $800.00 for the purchase of books and supplies.
  • If you have a hold on your account for a financial obligation, you will not be able to use the program until the obligation is cleared and the hold is removed. Once cleared, it can take up to 24 hours for the new information to be received by the bookstore.
  • You are required to present your CSU ID at the bookstore when making a purchase using the Early Book Program.
