About the Program
Teaching school-age students about the arts has never been more important! Use your passion and skills and obtain advanced teaching practices with a Master of Arts in Teaching - Art Education degree. Your creativity and drive will instill a love of art in your students and help keep the arts alive.
The Master of Arts in Teaching - Art Education program at Columbus State University will provide innovative course work in pedagogy, curriculum content, and assessment consistent with the national, state, and local standards and goals. As a CSU graduate student, you will have an opportunity to further your knowledge of the arts through investigation and research of current issues and curriculum in art education, and to pursue your creative work in our state of art studios.
All educator preparation programs are approved by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission. Columbus State University is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD).
