SWAH - Swahili

SWAH 1001. Elementary Swahili 1 (3-0-3) is an introductory course whose aim is to introduce the Swahili language to beginners. The major goals are to 1) enable students to develop communicative skills in Swahili through listening, speaking, reading, and writing; 2) give insights into aspects of the language, culture, traditions, and customs of the speakers of Swahili.

SWAH 1002. Elementary Swahili 2 (3-0-3) Prerequisite: SWAH 1001. This is an introductory course whose aim is to 1) enable students to develop communicative skills in Sawhili through listening, speaking, reading, and writing; 2) give insights into aspects of the language, culture, traditions, and customs of the speakers of Swahili.
