Note: A minimum of 25 semester hours of approve English coursework is required for admission to the MAT program. As part of their undergraduate studies, candidates will have completed studies in British and American literature, non-western or multicultural literature, and linguistics, and they will have completed upper-division studies of writing. In some cases additional hours of English may be required depending on content background. When a candidate does not already meet content requirements, his or her program plan will include appropriate pre-requisites in addition to the requirements listed above.
