With study abroad programs in Cuernavaca, Mexico, and Seville, Spain, you'll have the opportunity to refine your language skills while immersed in dynamic new cultures.
Take complete advantage of faculty expertise that encompasses a broad range spanning Latin American literature, Hispanic women's writing, Spanish and Latin American culture, Hispanic linguistics, and the use of technology in the Humanities. You can take classes at the Elementary and Intermediate levels in French, German, Japanese, and Latin. We also offer Elementary Arabic classes.
At CSU, language majors enjoy the opportunity to practice their target languages outside the classroom with activities like conversation tables, film nights, and guest-speaker events. Our campus has a chapter of Sigma Delta Pi, a National Honor Society for students of Spanish. Create the educational experience you’ll need for a lifetime of success.

The e-French Collaborative offers a program of study that will impart the basic knowledge necessary to participate in international and intercultural settings. The track emphasizes knowledge of the French and Francophone Language and Cultures and enables students the flexibility to focus on other languages and degree options.

Spanish with Teacher Certification Track
Create a path to teaching HS Spanish in Georgia and other locations. Identify methods for planning instruction based on standards and knowledge of students by using a wide range of instructional strategies. Prepare for teacher certification with the ability to assess learning and teaching and use assessment data to adapt instruction for improved student learning. Graduates will display values, commitments, dispositions, and habits associated with effective and professional teaching.
