Biographical/Organizational Note

The Muscogee County School District is responsible for public schools in Columbus, Georgia and the surrounding county. Dr. James Burns was the superintendent during part of the school desegregation process. He was murdered in 1992.

Scope and Content

These are videotapes of school board meetings relating to desegregation in the Columbus/Muscogee County, Georgia school system. 1990-1991
