Using Our Collections

The CSU Archives houses many collection in a variety of formats on a wide range of topics. There are several different ways to search and browse our collections. Please visit the links below to begin your research.

Updates to ArchivesSpace

We are currently migrating our collection data to a new collection management platform. You can begin searching our collections using the new ArchivesSpace system.

Planning Your Visit

We are located on the Columbus State University main campus, on the third floor of the Simon Schwob Memorial Library. Our holdings are open to all patrons conducting research, but please remember that our materials do not circulate. Appointments are not required but are recommended. Please contact the Archives staff in advance so we can better serve you.

Reference and Reproduction Services

Reference assistance is available to help in determining which materials are appropriate for specific research projects. Reproduction services are provided for a fee. Permission must be obtained from the Archivist to publish or display Archives material. Patrons are responsible for complying with copyright regulations.

Research Assistance

The Archives staff will spend up to ten minutes in assisting you with your research. After that time you must conduct the research yourself in person, by requesting copies of material, or by hiring a local researcher.
