The Columbus Iron Works was established in Columbus, Georgia in 1853, incorporated
in 1856, destroyed by fires in 1865 and 1902 and rebuilt each time.
Scope and Content
This consists of a single contract (with specifications for parts and services) between the Columbus Iron Works and the Eutaw Water Works, Electric & Power Co. of Eutaw, Alabama for the construction and installation of a 5 ton ice machine for the manufacture of ice by the use of ammonia.
