Professional Writing Organization
The Columbus State University Professional Writing Organization is a group of students
who are focused on the role that writing will have in their post-graduation careers.
They host lectures and workshops on topics such as fiction writing, nonfiction writing,
journalism, grant writing, resumes, interoffice communication, and social media.
The PWO aims to equip students for a successful career in the business world.
PWO Mission
- Networking Opportunities. As college students, we share a common goal: finding good-paying careers after graduation. Joining the PWO will provide you with numerous networking opportunities, putting you face-to-face with professional writers representing a broad spectrum of writing interests.
- Job Placement. One of our goals as an organization is to help keep our members informed about career opportunities in the Professional Writing field and to help develop the skills necessary to obtain those careers. These opportunities will be discussed at meetings, events, and announced on our bulletin board in Woodall Hall.
