Biography
Janie Lee Bullock is a collaborative pianist at the Schwob School of Music. An experienced
accompanist and teacher, she plays numerous recitals, juries, competitions, auditions,
musical theater and opera productions, and choral concerts and has taught both private
and class piano at CSU. In 2007, she traveled to Toronto, Canada to accompany the
national winner of the MTNA Young Artists vocal competition and in 2008 to Denver,
Colorado to play for an MTNA national finalist. Mrs. Bullock has been a frequent music
director and pianist for Broadway shows in Texas, Mississippi, and Georgia. She is
organist at the First Baptist Church, pianist for the professional vocal ensemble
Cantus Columbus and principal keyboardist with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. She
has been both pianist and organist for choral concert tours throughout Eastern and
Western Europe with the Columbus Civic Chorale and has accompanied the Lafayette Chorale
in LaGrange and the Montgomery Chorale in Alabama. She received the BME degree from
Florida State University, where she studied with Leonard Mastrogiacomo, and the MM
degree in performance with emphasis in accompanying from the University of Southern
Mississippi, where she collaborated in many chamber music and theatrical performances.
