Dr. Leslie Haines is a scholar of long nineteenth-century literature. Her particular areas of specialization include British Romantic and Victorian poetry, European Romanticism to Realism, and literary theory. Currently, her research focuses on gender performativity and eroticism in nineteenth-century poetry, art in literature, and inclusive writing practices in teaching composition.
Dr. Haines teaches a wide range of courses, including First Year Writing, Interdisciplinary Arts, World Literature, Multicultural Literature, and Romantic and Victorian Literature.
