Biography
Samantha Yoo is a dedicated professional whose career has been marked by notable accomplishments in the fields of design and education. In 2021, she embarked on a new chapter in her professional journey, joining the esteemed Art Department at Columbus State University, specializing in Graphic Design.
Samantha‘s educational achievements reflect her unwavering commitment to excellence. She holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Graphic Design from Marywood University, a Master of Arts (MA) in Graphic Design from the distinguished New York Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Painting from Hunter College. These academic milestones have provided her with a robust foundation upon which she continues to build and inspire others.
Before assuming her role in academia, Samantha dedicated over 15 years to the design industry, where she honed her skills and made significant contributions. Her professional portfolio encompasses a wide array of design projects, spanning from print and publication design to dynamic motion graphics and advertising. Samantha‘s work has left an indelible mark on major events and collaborations with renowned brands such as UGG, Nike, Timberland, and Shoe Village, as well as her meaningful contributions to non-profit organizations.
Her dedication to education equals Samantha‘s passion for design. For eight years, she humbly shared her wealth of knowledge with the next generation of designers at the City University of New York. Her role as an Assistant Professor of Visual Communication Design at the University of Indianapolis and Anderson University further exemplifies her commitment to nurturing emerging design talents.
