Mission
CSU Black Alumni Council is an official affinity group for black graduates of Columbus State University. Through recruiting, retaining, engaging,donating, and serving. BAC connects alumni and students with shared experiences to continue building a welcoming and supportive campus Community.
History
Established in 2019, the Black Alumni Council is the affinity group of the CSU Alumni Association for black graduates. Through recruiting, retaining, engaging, donating, and serving, BAC connects alumni and students with shared experiences to continue building a welcoming and supportive campus community. Each year, the Black Alumni Council hosts Sips Before Steps, a reception prior to the Homecoming Step Show and other networking events for graduates.

Apply to Be on the Black Alumni Council
The CSU Black Alumni Council is seeking dedicated alumni to serve on the leadership council or be a part of the general body to plan events and initiatives. Below you will find more details on how you can best serve.
- Co-Chair: Responsible for providing overview of the council and serving as the liaison between the council and the association.
- Committee Chairs: Responsible for planning and programming for the council; as well as reporting out on committee projects with the board.
- Committee Member: Responsible for serving on one of the committees, working with the co-chairs and supporting the overall goals and mission of BAC.
