F. L. Flowers Diaries (MC 253)
Biographical Note
F. L. Flowers was born in 1889, according to a diary entry in the 1960 journal marking his 71st birthday. He married in May of 1960. From other entries it appears that he had family in the Birmingham/Hurtsboro area of Alabama, although at the time of these diaries he was living in Phenix City, Alabama and working at the Muscogee Mills.
Scope and Content
These diaries record the daily weather, Bible readings, numbers of eggs laid by his hens, doctors' appointments and treatments for cataracts, hours worked at the mill, income, expenses, car problems, family and church events, and political views. 1952-1958, 1960, 1964 1 box (1 l.f.)
