Biographical Note
According to the draft of her obituary, Mildred Louise Randall was
born in Cleveland, Ohio “at the turn of the century” (7
January, 1900). She lived in New York State until 1920 when she
moved to Columbus, Georgia. She was a graduate of Rochester
Institute of Technology and Auburn University. She did
post-graduate work at Columbia University in New York, the
University of Florida, the University of Georgia, Georgia Tech and
the University of California at Berkley. She was head of the Home
Economics Department at Jordan High School for 32 years. She was a
charter member of Delta Kappa Gamma, the honorary teacher's
sorority, the 3 Arts League and held memberships in the Student's
Club, Columbus Museum of Arts and Crafts, Columbus Historical
Foundation, American Association of University Women, Columbus
Symphony Auxiliary and Trinity Episcopal Church, where she was a
member of Stanne's and Lucy Shepard Guilds for many years. She also
held a certificate for 2,000 hours of war work during World War
II.

A copy of the draft of her obituary (1980s?) and the marriage
license of Stephen Randall and Mariah Witley, issued on August 19,
1844 in Ashtabula County, Ohio.
