Campus Services

We are only one portion of the services provided by University Operations. Below you will find a list of services we provide. If you have any questions feel free to call us at (706) 507-8203.

Groundskeeping & Debris Removal

It is the mission of Grounds Services to provide students, faculty, staff, and guests with a safe, functional, and beautiful working environment. The presentable day to day appearance of Columbus State's campus is Ground Services' number one priority. Grounds staff members remove natural debris daily and parking areas, walkways, and roads are routinely monitored to ensure a presentable and safe environment. Outdoor public trash receptacles are emptied both daily and as needed. In the event of snow or ice accumulation, our personnel keep the campus safe and accessible for those living and working on campus by salting walkways, steps, etc. and removing large deposits of snow or ice.

Moving Assistance

Our moving and setup teams are happy to assist with moving offices and small items as needed. Please check out our Moving Check List (PDF) and Moving Label (PDF) as you prepare to move items in your office. As with any of our tasks, we ask that you submit your eQuest at least 7 business days in advance. Be sure to include your name, the building, the room where items need to move, and the number of items to be moved. This information should also be listed on the label attached to each of the items to be moved. Remember, when moving furniture, all items must be emptied prior to our arrival. This is for the safety of our team and to ensure that the furniture is not damaged.

Moving assistance is available Monday-Friday from 7:30 am - 4:30 pm. We can accommodate odd-hour and weekend requests with prior planning and an account number to accommodate overtime as needed.

Furniture

By working with Shared Administrative Services (SAS), University Operations helps facilitate the furniture needs of both campuses. We are happy to assist in choosing new purchases as well as finding surplus furniture when it becomes available. Please submit an eQuest if furniture is needed for your classroom or office.
