The Genealogical Society of East Alabama Collection (MC 370)
Organizational Note
Founded in 1963, the Genealogical Society of East Alabama is a non-profit corporation serving the 5 county area of east central Alabama: Chambers, Lee, Macon, Russell and Tallapoosa counties. Since 1963, the society has published the quarterly journal Tap Roots.
Scope and Content
Five yearbooks for the Society (1964-1970), one issue of Tap Roots, one issue of The Georgia Genealogical Society Quarterly (which includes an article on "Georgia's First Settlers").
