Biographical/

Organizational Note

WRBL-TV premiered on November 15, 1953 and is Georgia's third oldest station outside of Atlanta, Georgia. The CBS-affiliated station was owned by James Woodruff Jr. along with WRBL Radio, purchased by his father in 1931. During the 1960s, the station shared the airwaves with ABC and NBC, but never becoming a full affiliate. It is thought to be one of the few two-station markets in the 1960s without its own primary NBC affiliate. Following the death of James Woodruff Jr. in 1978, the station fell under various ownerships. It is currently owned by Nexstar Media Group. On September 6, 2018, WRBL opened a news bureau on the downtown campus of Columbus State University and is located in the CSU's Carpenter Building. It currently broadcasts 22 hours of locally produced content each week.

Rozell Fair Fabiani was born on February 26, 1914 in Cleveland, Tennessee. She began her career at WRBL Radio in 1949 as a receptionist and worked her way over to the WRBL-TV station in 1953. She hosted "At Home with Rozell" and "The Rozell Show" from September 1954 to 1988 which featured cooking and home economic-related segments. Fabiani passed away on March 11, 2005.
