B.S. Kinesiology (Health and Physical Education concentrations)
The BS in Kinesiology with a concentration in Health and Physical Education (certification) prepares students to obtain P-12 certification in both health and physical education. The program of study provides a strong base in the sciences, study of the various content fields that comprise health education and physical education, and numerous field experiences in which academic content applies to teaching.

The BS in Kinesiology with a concentration in Health and Physical Education (non-certification) prepares professionals to work in diverse settings related to: sport coaching, community physical activity and sport settings. The program of study provides a strong base in the sciences, study of the various content fields that comprise health education, sport coaching, physical activity, recreation and field experiences in which academic content applies to developing the professional knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to work with diverse populations.

Once you have completed all degree requirements and passed the GACE II (115, 116), you will be certified to teach health and physical education P-12.
